Circle Pad Pro For Nintendo 3DS Will Cost $20 And You Will Only Find It At GameStop

Nintendo of America have revealed that the Circle Pad Pro accessory for the Nintendo 3DS will be launched in the U.S. on February 7th — the same day that Resident Evil: Revelations goes on sale.

While the Circle Pad Pro will be bundled with a special edition of the game in Europe, no such bundle has been announced for the U.S. thus far.

The Circle Pad Pro, Nintendo of America say, will also be sold only through GameStop stores and the GameStop website for $20. The two games mentioned to take advantage of the accessory in Nintendo’s press release are Resident Evil: Revelations and Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater. However, we know for a fact that other titles such as Monster Hunter 3G and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance support the accessory as well.

Selling the accessory exclusively through GameStop would suggest that Nintendo don’t want it to be viewed as a requirement for the system. Even the games that make use of the Circle Pad Pro so far utilize it only for optional control schemes. This exclusivity arrangement will likely ensure it remains that way.
