Earlier this week, Square Enix revealed that they were going to release a special 7-minute commercial for Final Fantasy VII Remake, and they have now released the entire commercial on Youtube.
As previously reported, the commercial focuses on a man who has never played Final Fantasy VII. After finding his girlfriend’s copy of the game and bringing up the copy at work, he realizes that the people around him in his life have all been influenced by this legendary game. The commercial contains many Easter eggs for fans of the original, such as a worn-out copy of the official guidebook in Japan.
Additionally, the commercial is the longest commercial (7 minutes) to air in terrestrial TV history in Japan. However, the version uploaded to Youtube is 13 minutes long, and features cut scenes that weren’t on the TV version.
