Castlevania Symphony of the Night Port Takes Over Mobile Devices

Well met, my son! It’s been a long time. Well, not really, considering Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood launched on the PlayStation 4 in October 2018. Still, the surprise appearance of a Castlevania: Symphony of the Night port is a welcome prospect. It is immediately available on the App Store and Google Play for $2.99. [Thanks, Wario64!]

The mobile version of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is described as a “direct port” that offers on-screen virtual controls and compatibility with bluetooth controllers. If someone is using the touchscreen to play, there are specific buttons tied to certain attacks and abilities. Its list of unique elements include some sort of “new continue feature.” Like Castlevania Requiem’s trophies, there are achievements you can earn as you play.

In Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, players follow Alucard as he investigates the reappearance of Dracula’s castle and disappearance of Richter Belmont. It is particularly notable for its RPG elements and the ability to only see the true ending if you put in the effort to properly investigate and acquire a certain item.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is immediately available on Android and Apple iOS devices in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Spanish. It is also available on the PlayStation, PlayStation Portable, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 4 worldwide and on the Sega Saturn in Japan.
