Castle of Shikigami Bringing Its Horror/Shmup Action To Steam

Castle of Shikigami, a horror shmup that has players acting as demon-destroying specialists in a monster-infested Tokyo, will be receiving a new translation and a Steam release in June.  

In the heat of Summer, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Force find themselves in a difficult situation when thirty-two women have been murdered, seeming due to something occult and supernatural. They are left with no choice but to call in some experts, and its those six experts that players can choose from to blast the evil creatures that have caused the deaths.

Players can fight demons, alone or cooperatively, across five multipart stages, following each character’s unique story while using their individual special powers. Players will be encouraged to take risks as they fight against the demons, as the Tension System rewards a risky play style that might kill players who get too greedy.

This new version of Castle of Shikigami features an all-new translation, and will be available for download on June 15 (as will its soundtrack) from Steam.
