Capcom To Hold A Monster Hunter Event At Universal Studios In Japan

Earlier this year, Capcom announced that they were cancelling 2011’s annual Monster Hunter Festa event, scheduled to be held in six regions around Japan, in the wake of the Tohoku earthquake. Had it gone ahead, the event would have been held in Tokyo, Nagoya, Sapporo, Osaka and Sendai.

That doesn’t mean there won’t be any Monster Hunter events this year, though. This August, Capcom are holding an event for the series at Universal Studios in Japan. The website for the event reads “Universal Studios x Monster Hunter Portable 3rd”.

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver. is supposed to release this summer in Japan. There’s little reason to believe it won’t be part of this event in some form.
