Capcom developing a brand new 2D fighting game

Famitsu found a website on Capcom’s main page for an unannounced 2D fighting game from the company who blew the genre out of the water. The teaser site with a fiery background says it is the first original fighting game to come out of Capcom’s doors in three years and more information is coming soon. Since Capcom lost the Marvel license this is not going to be an estranged sequel to Marvel versus Capcom 2. However, it might be related to Street Fighter. This year is the 20^th anniversary of the series and it would be the perfect time to unveil a new installment in the series.

The mysterious fighting game is scheduled to debut in arcades later this year.
