One of the special things about the Battle Conductor arcade machines is its use of a sub-monitor that also has a card reader attached to it. By scanning in cards, you can access your personal Busou Shinki data, and interact with them there.

After reading card data and beginning the game, you’re set to the Busou Shinki’s room, which is like a dollhouse. There, you have three minutes to  interact with them by tapping the touchscreen, and well as look at them by swiping and pinching to move the camera around and zoom in and out. You’re also able to customize their arms and looks.

When customizing them, you’ll sent to a touchscreen menu, and you can equip them with the armor and weapons by dragging them to their figure on the left. Meanwhile, the sub-monitor will show off how they’ll look in real-time.

The battle shown off on stage took place in a giant living room, and was a free-for-all against three other opponents. The main objective of the game is to collect gems scattered around the arena, with defeating enemies only being a secondary objective in order to scatter and take opponents’ gems. When defeated, your Busou Shinki is swapped in with one of the other two Busou Shinki on the sub-monitor. Skills are charged and activated on the touchscreen, and you can also change target focus by tapping the opponent on the touchscreen as well.

While not shown off much during the demonstration, due to the presenters being new to the game, Battle Conductor has boosting and air boosting to make things much faster-paced than it looks in the demonstration.
