Brigandine is coming back. In Spring 2020, Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia will appear on the Nintendo Switch. An official website has even opened.

Brigadine: The Legend of Runersia is set in Runersia 781 and involves heroes known as Rune Knights, which have Brigandine armor with mana stones in them. Six factions are at war. There’s the Holy Gustava Empire (which has no Brigandine), the Mana Saleesia Theocracy with the Brigandine of Sanctity, Norzaleo Kingdom with the Brigandine of Justice, the Republic of Guimoule with Brigandine of Glory, the Shinobi Tribe with the Brigandine of Freedom, and the United Islands of Mirelva. Each group’s characters initial characters were announced.

When people play, they will get to choose which one of the factions they will side with and attempt to unite the continent. Your goal is to collect bases, so you can get mana to maintain and power your army. During the Organization Phase, you will be able to organize your platoons and summon monsters for them, equip your groups, move them, determine their classes, and send them out on missions. During the Attack Phase, you can set up attacks against enemies and battle. In addition to the main The Legend of Runersia mode, there will be an Alternate Chapter Challenge Mode.

A few of the people behind Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia were announced. Kenji Terada, who wrote the Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy II, and Final Fantasy III scenarios, is creating the scenario. Raita Kazama, who created the Xenoblade and Xenoblade Chronicles X character designs, is handling the character designs. Tenpei Sato, who provided music for Disgaea and Brigandine: Grand Edition, will be composing.
