Bravely Default For The West Is The Enhanced Version Of The Game [Update]

It’s official—the version of Bravely Default that the west is getting is indeed based on Bravely Default: For the Sequel, the enhanced version of the game headed to Japan this fall.

The official Bravely Default Twitter feed tweeted this morning, “The overseas edition is based on ‘for the sequel’.”

Update: The western release of the game will contain both English and Japanese sound.

Last week, when Siliconera reached out to Nintendo, who are publishing Bravely Default in the west, the company declined to comment regarding which version of the game we’re getting. Well, it looks like there’s no need to worry any more.

The enhanced version of Bravely Default comes with a number of improvements, such as the ability to speed up battles, turn on an auto-battle feature, change the game’s random encounter rate, more story events and more. Read more about it here.
