Bravely Default: Flying Fairy producer, Tomoya Asano, granted Japanese site, Inside Games, a short interview about the game and some of the basic principles behind its development. Prior to Bravely Default, Asano served as producer on Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy IV for the Nintendo DS, among other games.
Asano describes Bravely Default as a “standard RPG,” complete with random encounters and turn-based battles. The game’s job and battle system are similar to Final Fantasy V. The girl that appears in the game’s augmented reality trailer is one of the game’s four main characters, but we don’t know her name yet.
When asked about the game’s scenario and sound staff, Asano replies that Square Enix are working with people they haven’t worked with before.
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy is slated for release sometime in 2012.
