While it isn’t time for Bloodstained’s monthly Kickstarter update, an early update has come out addressing issues that were seen with the Switch version of Bloodstained at PAX East.

For some context, players for the Switch version found massive framerate drops, especially compared the PC version which was also on display. According to 505 Games, the cause of the frame drops was because of overheating with the demo Switch units because of how the consoles were stored, inside closed containers. Without this sort of container, the Switch running the same build is much more stable, and the Switch version has also been optimized since.

Furthermore, the launch stats for the Switch version has been revealed:

Undocked: 720p (fixed) / 30 fps

Docked: 720p (dynamic) / 30 fps with additional effects / visuals, etc.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in Summer 2019.
