Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was highlighted in today’s Nintendo Direct, with a new gameplay trailer that shows off 3D segments, as well as some boss fights that should look familiar to those who played Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon.

Apart from returning bosses, Bloodstained will also have powers such as turning the castle upside-down or turning into lasers, the ability to customize Miriam, and more. There are also Symphony of the Night homages by the truck-load, as we can see a Crissaegrim/Valmanway-esque weapon, as well as Miriam getting bumped upwards while sitting in a chair, in the trailer.

Check out the trailer below:

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night comes out Summer 2019 on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. Read more about the shard crafting system in our previous report here.
