Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 Steps Up the Difficulty with Legend Mode

Curse of the Moon 2

Inti Creates announced the new difficulty level has been added to Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 . People can now try to survive in Legend Mode. It was added into the game alongside the Ver. 1.3.0 update. (Which was quickly followed by a 1.3.1 update to fix an additional issue.)

As you might expect, choosing Legend will increase the amount of damage you take from enemy attacks. However, it seems that enemy and boss HP will remain the same. Enemy positions have been changed, to make it more challenging to travel through the levels, and they will respawn if move off-screen. There also seem to be some more subtle changes. It looks like strong attacks, like Robert’s Cannon sub-weapon, have a greater knockback effect to perhaps prevent players from spamming the attack. Additionally, if a player character dies, you lose a life.

One of the biggest changes is the time limit. In Legend, stages have a 999-second time limit to complete a stage, making the game even more similar to classic Castlevania titles. (Every other difficulty level doesn’t have any time limits in place.
