2021 is going to be a big year for Bleach, as that’s when the series will be celebrating its 20th anniversary. (The manga began its run in August 2001.) To help pave the way for the celebration, Megahouse has announced a new figure based on one of the more memorable villains. A Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez figure will appear in October 2020 for ¥13,800 (~$128).
This Grimmjow figure was first shown off at Mega Hobby Expo 2019. (AmiAmi showed off a video of the Bleach figure’s unpainted prototype at the time.) He is sculpted by Denden and is part of the G.E.M. 1/8th line that also includes standard and 10th anniversary versions of Ichigo and a Hitsugaya figure. As he is a member of the Espada Arrancars working for Aizen, the sixth one to be exact, his figure has a hole in the center of it.
Here are some better looks at the Grimmjow figure.
Lots has been happening for the series in the lead up to the Bleach 20th anniversary. A new anime adaptation has been announced, as has a Burn the Witch spin-off. There’s also a new mobile game called Bleach: Immortal Soul.
The Megahouse Bleach figure of Grimmjow will launch in October 2020.
