BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Info On Open Beta Test Schedule And Playable Characters For Japan

Arc System Works recently shared details on the upcoming open beta test that takes place next month in Japan with its schedule and playable characters for both the PS4 and Switch version of the fighter.

 

First, here’s the schedule for the open beta testing in Japan:

PS4 version (For those who pre-ordered on PS Store)

  • May 9 at 4:00pm JST ~ May 14 at 12:00am JST

 

PS4 version (For those who did not pre-order on PS Store)

  • May 12 at 4:00pm JST ~  May 14 at 12:00am JST

 

Nintendo Switch version

  • May 11 at 4:00pm JST ~ May 14 at 12:00am JST

 

Here’s what the open beta offers:

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle Open Beta

  • Playable Characters: All 20 characters not including DLC
  • Playable Modes:
    • Casual Lobby – Fight opponents around
    • Tactics Mode – Learn the basics
    • VS Mode (vs. CPU) – Practice fighting
    • VS Mode (vs. 2P) – Practice at home*

*The local versus VS Mode (vs. 2P) will only be available for those who pre-order the game via PS Store.

 

Lastly, here’s what will be available as a demo when the open beta test ends:

  • Tactics Mode and VS Mode with all 20 characters

 

PS4 version (For those who did not pre-order on PS Store)

  • Tactics Mode and VS Mode* with Ragna, Narukami, Hyde, and Ruby as playable characters

 

Nintendo Switch version

  • Tactics Mode and VS Mode* with Ragna, Narukami, Hyde, and Ruby as playable characters

 

*The local versus VS Mode (vs. 2P) will only be available for those who pre-order the game via PS Store, but it will have vs. CPU for non-preorders

 

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle releases for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in Japan and Asia on May 31, 2018. The game releases in North America on June 5 and in Europe in Summer 2018. If you missed it, Arc System Works revealed the third set of DLC characters with Naoto Shirogane, Hakumen, and Vatista.
