BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Sold Through 85% Of Its Shipment At Launch

Last week, Arc System Works released BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma in Japan, and the game sold over 72,000 copies in its first week, giving it the highest opening sales of any BlazBlue title to date.

 

Japanese sales tracker Media Create provide another tidbit in their weekly sales report—Chrono Phantasma sold through 86.36% of its shipment, which means the game has done rather well for itself, relatively speaking.

 

Media Create say that retailers attribute the increase in sales to the recent BlazBlue: Alter Memory anime, which will likely help future sales as well. That said, it appears as though BlazBlue is still struggling to break out of its niche, and it should be interesting to see if Arc System Works can do something about this going forward.
