BlazBlue Alternative: Dark War to End Service in January 2022

Arc System Works announced service for BlazBlue Alternative: Dark War will end on January 31, 2022. Leading up to end of service for the title, Arc System Works has suspended the option for consumers to make real money transactions within the game. Additionally, from February 1 to May 2, 2022 consumers will be able to request refunds. [Thanks, Gamer!]

The official statement from Arc System Works reveals that the team was under careful consideration when reflecting on the future of the title. Ultimately, the decision to end service for the mobile game was due to the team feeling as though they could not deliver future content of the quality they would like.

Additionally, Producer Toshimichi Mori released a statement through the official BlazBlue Alternative: Dark War Twitter account. He revealed that the team still intends to release a new chapter during the first half of December 2021. The statement ends with Mori thanking consumers for their support.

Development on BlazBlue Alternative: Dark War began in 2017. However, updates on the title remained scarce until January 2021. It was later revealed that the title would release for Android and iOS devices in February 2021.

BlazBlue Alternative: Dark War is available on Android and iOS devices in Japan. Service for the title will end on January 31, 2022.
