Beyond the Labyrinth lets you outfit the girl in different kinds of custom-created costumes. This is done using an in-game costume editor. Here’s what it looks like:

As shown in these screenshots, you use the touchscreen to draw designs and patterns on the girl’s clothes, which are reflected on her costume in realtime. Once you’ve created a costume, you’ll be able to see her wear it in the game.

It sounds like you can also store your costume designs as JPEG files on the SD card, so they can be shared with other players. Here’s an example with two different costumes in the game.

As reported previously, Beyond the Labyrinth also has augmented reality features. A Konamistyle store bundle in Japan that comes with a desk calendar has AR markers that you can scan to see the girl pop up on your desk. The AR marker for each month is different, and will feature her in a different costume related to a season or festival.

The two costumes above are from the AR calendar. The one on the left is supposed to represent Halloween. Beyond the Labyrinth is slated for release on January 19th.
