The villagers you find and rescue in Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess are essential part to winning the nightly Seethe battles. Villagers are like your troopers in a way, helping you to attack, defend, and even build structures. These are the best villager roles we suggest using in Kunitsu-Gami to do well in each stage.
Best Villager Roles in Kunitsu-Gami for Offense
When it comes to offense as a best defense, this is a valid method of beating the stages in this game. There are quite a lot of villager roles dedicated to this method, but here are the few that I highly recommend to most players:
- Woodcutter
- Archer
- Spearman
- Sorcerer
- Ninja
The Woodcutter and Archer are the first two you unlock in this game, but don’t let this fool you. They both are excellent when it comes to close combat and ranged fights, respectively. Upgrade these to their max and they rival some of the best out there.
When it comes to Spearman, they excel at single targets, so they are one of the best for boss battles. Finally, the Sorcerer and Ninja are the most overpowered classes and cost accordingly. Sorcerer can deal damage to everyone in the stage, while the Ninja is the all-around flexible role. It is capable of doing well in close combat and ranged.
Best Villager Roles for Defending Yoshiro
As you know, the goal in every mission of Kunitsu-Gami is to keep Yoshiro safe, so these are the best villager roles for that and general defense.
- Ascetic
- Sumo Wrestler (male-only)
- Shaman (female-only)
There are other defensive roles, but these three are so crucial to survival. The Ascetic are an early role that slows down Seethe, which helps if you get overwhelmed in stages. Sumo Wrestlers are like your tanks and they draw away aggro from others, such as Yoshiro. Meanwhile, the Shaman is capable of healing the others like Yoshiro and keeping everyone alive.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is available right now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
