In any Persona game, trying to get that perfect Persona lineup is crucial. Here are some of the things to look for to track down the best Personas in Persona 5 Tactica.
Personas work a little differently in Persona 5 Tactica. They are equipped as Sub-Personas and offer stat boosts and up to two additional skills. This is a much more simplified than the original Persona 5, however that doesn’t mean there aren’t standout personas to get.
Also, keep in mind that the Personas element doesn’t really matter in Persona 5 Tactica. It’s mainly for categorizing and for the weapon crafting elements.
Best early-game Personas in Persona 5 Tactica
Early in the game, you want to focus on the abilities. Most of the stat buffs you’re going get are tiny, so you want to get some good skills. Koppa Tengu is a Persona that comes with Sukukaja. This skill will increase your character’s movement for three turns. This can mean life or death in these early levels.
Other abilities to look for would be those that hit multiple enemies at once. Silky, for example, is a low level Persona that has Frei. This skill does light damage across a medium area.
Agi, Sharp-Eyed Wildcat, and any healing skills are others to keep an eye out for early game. You can find these on multiple Personas.
Also, if you can get the Level 23 Persona Sandman, he has the unique skill Treasure Hunter. This increases the money gained from battles. Keep this one handy, as it can save you a lot down the road.
Best mid-game Personas
By the middle of Persona 5 Tactica, your party’s skills are starting to be versatile enough on their own. This means we want to start focusing on good passives and stat boosts. SP and gun damage boosts matter much more than HP and melee damage. This stays true the entire rest of the game.
Special Fusions become available by this point. Fuse Neko Shogun ASAP. He has the unique skill Keen Eye, which increases rare Persona drop rate. However, you can have him inherit Efficiency Aficionado which increases EXP gain. These two together are a massive boon. I kept Neko Shogun on a party member basically the whole mid-game, the gains from both skills are unmatched.
Others skills to look out for is Trigger Happy, which increases consecutive gun attacks, and Mighty Warrior, which boosts damage when attacking more than one enemy. Hopefully, most of your party’s skills at this point are hitting multiple enemies.
Best late-game Personas in Persona 5 Tactica
Late-game Personas are almost universally good. Some of their abilities border on broken, and you can incredible boosts on stats.
Beelzebub, for example, has Triumphant Cheer, one of the best skills in the game. This nets you a 20% refill on HP and SP for every enemy defeated. This is substantial healing and with the late game built around multiple enemy takedowns in a single turn this basically means constant free health.
Another great skill would be Rising Vigor, which greatly increases your damage when your health is above 80. You can find this on a couple Personas, including Raphael. This is a great skill since you want to do as much as possible on your very first turn in the late game, meaning you can hit way harder before you ever get a chance to take damage.
If you did the final Quests of the game, your party already has unbelievably powerful AoE skills, however if you didn’t you can grab Megido or Megidolaon, these both hit large areas and can deal some serious damage.
Also, if you’re looking to max your level, Dionysus has the unique skill Knack for Conflict. This gives you a huge boost to exp gained. You can fuse this onto a couple other Personas and hit level 99 in no time.
Really, by end game, your party has so much to deal with problems that the Sub-Personas have diminishing returns. However, hopefully these tips can help you to gather some of the best Personas in Persona 5 Tactica.
Also, If you’re really wanting some power for the final act, you can always fuse Satanael.
Persona 5 Tactica is available on the Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC.
