After your first three days in Love, Ghostie, you’ll get a chance to buy skill upgrades in Ghostina’s RelationChip Shop with the currency you get from making characters happy or interact with one another. There are certain ones that can make your (after)life a lot easier if you buy them. Here’s what I recommend you invest in first.
Which Love, Ghostie RelationChip shop skill upgrades should I buy?
Okay, so you’re basically locked into buying Amateur Ghostie for 30 RelationChips first. Which is good, because you need that +1 action point! Getting to do five things, instead of four, is huge early on. You can spend two on picking up items to use as gifts around the house, two to give those items as gifts, and use the last one to schedule a date between two characters on the Chore Board.
However, after that there are a few others you should immediately invest in. I recommend you do so in this order:
- Apprentice Ghostie for 35 RelationChips – This ups the number of actions you can take each day to six. Again, it’s a huge help when getting people paired up.
- Vacation Ticket for 30 RelationChips – Sometimes, a character in your house might not fit with someone else! Or you thought they’d be good, but you don’t like how that pairing is going. This immediately gets you one Vacation Ticket for free to boot them out and move in a new random resident. It also adds the Vacation Ticket to the store you access in the attic’s computer for 25 coins permanently.
- Medium Manor for 50 RelationChips – Having more people around makes things so much easier, so making it possible for six folks to be in the house at once ASAP is great. You can earn RelationChips faster. You can see who vibes together better. There are more items left around you can steal to use for gifts. It’s good.
- Large Manor for 60 RelationChips – You can have eight people in the house with this upgrade. I actually purchased this one fifth during my first route, and I regretted it because I could have used a wider selection of residents sooner. Don’t make the mistake I did!
- Professional Ghostie for 45 RelationChips – This lets you perform seven actions per day. Since you’ll have so many people around and things to steal by this point, you’ll need that!
- Expert Ghostie for 55 RelationChips – You max out your action count with this one, bringing it up to eight. Again, more actions is good.
From there, you can choose other skills as you’d like. The perks that increase resident happiness, relationships, coins, and RelationChips are fine, but the 10% bonus isn’t that big of a deal. Likewise, I didn’t find much of a use for the songs, minigames, or ghost hats. But since you’ll have spare currency by this point, do what makes you most happy.
