From the various Slimes to the Sabrecat, many of them could be helpful for fighting or exploring. But what are the best Dragon Quest Treasures monsters you should consider adding to your team? Honestly, ones you like best can work. However, a few can be exceptionally useful.
Who are some of the best Dragon Quest Treasures monsters?
You can certainly opt to collect all of the various monsters in Dragon Quest Treasures, but if you want to optimize your party from the start, you’re in the right place. Here are the best monsters that you should consider adding to your team, plus a bit about what I like for each of them:
- Great Sabrecat: Found in The Paternoggin, Snarl, and Wingswept Moor. Besides its classic design, it has a terrific movement skill.
- King Slime: The Paternoggin, Maneland, and Hinterquarters. The king of the franchise’s mascot is a prime mascot for your team.
- Queen Slime: The Hinterquarters, The Paternoggin, and The Snarl. With great resistances and a solid set of skills, this is a worthy addition.
- Dune Stalker: The Maneland and The Snarl. This monster has amazing resistances to a variety of elements.
- Hoodlum: Cinderback Ridge and The Hinterquarters. If you want to gather materials and craft, Hoodlum’s Scan is a necessary gathering skill.
- Shadow Minister: The Maneland and The Snarl. The Shadow Minister gives the player the chance to equip Stealth and keep out of fights.
- Dread Dracky: The Wingswept Moor. This is a debuff master, able to poison and paralyze enemies.
- Golem: The Paternoggin. This tanky monster has a great mix of defensive stats and resistances to make for a welcome partner.
- Hades Condor: The Maneland and The Paternoggin. If you want a ranged teammate who can double as a healer, this is the one for you.
- Orc King: The Wingswept Moor. One of the most powerful and versatile monsters, the Orc King is capable of dealing heavy damage while also having decent healing potential.
