Aerith is the main healers in the party in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, as well as a powerful magic user. As such, you want to be careful when making the best Aerith build in FFVII Rebirth to ensure you emphasize her strengths and help with her weaknesses.

When it comes to creating the best build for Aerith, it all starts with the most important part of the entire setup: her weapon. The weapon defines her overall offensive stats and one of her key weapon abilities. You can permanently unlock weapon abilities for each piece of equipment after using it enough, so I focused more on stats here.

My first recommendation is the Timeless Rod. It has some of the best magical damage, which is what we want for Aerith, and a solid freeze skill in Chrono Aegis.

The second option is the wild, but powerful, Gambanteinn. This one has slightly less magical power than Timeless Rod, but a little bit more physical attack. However, its unbelievable weapon skill is the focus here. Noble Sacrifice is a risky and powerful maneuver, as it sacrifices Aerith to revive all fallen allies, restore their HP, and remove any status ailments. It is a last resort that can be helpful.

Beyond the weapon, you also want to focus on the materia and other equipment Aerith uses. The idea here is to give her more utility when healing and using spells like Fira and Aero. We want her attacking enemies from afar and healing teammates as much as possible.

Here are my recommendations for these items to make our best Aerith build in FFVII Rebirth:

  • Armor: Cetran Armlet (avoid the Cetran Bangle since it lacks the welcome materia slots)
  • Accessory: Crescent Moon Charm (reduces damage when not using her) or Revival Earrings (brings her back if she dies once)
  • Materia: This will depend on how many slots you have. But, in general, these are the must materia you should aim to have: Healing, Revival, Wind, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Poison, Fortification, Magnify (expands range of spells), Auto-Cast (great for when you aren’t controlling her), Prayer, and HP Up
  • Summon: Any
  • Weapon Skills: Altruistic Recovery (boosts healing), MP Recovery Rate Up, and Enduring Ward or Ward Shift Mastery

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available right now exclusively for the PS5.
