Beat from Jet Set Radio Returns in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania

AiAi, Baby, Doctor, MeeMee, GonGon, and YanYan won’t be the only characters rolling around in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania. There will be cameo crossover appearances too. Sega announced the first one of them, and it is Beat from the games Jet Grind Radio—aka Jet Set Radio.

The Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania version of Beat from Jet Set Radio is a bit shorter and has a chibi appearance. (As well as being inside a traditional Monkey Ball ball.) He’s based on his original design from the Dreamcast game, down to the headphones.

Sega did note there will be multiple cameos, so we could see more characters announced in the coming weeks ahead of launch.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania will debut on October 5, 2021 for the PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. It includes HD versions of Super Monkey Ball, Super Monkey Ball 2, and Super Monkey Ball Deluxe.
