It was only an April Fool’s joke, but PlatinumGames are another in a long line of developers eager to embrace the 8-bit roots of gaming. If one were to think about it seriously, though, 8-bit feels like going a little too far back for a game like Bayonetta. A 16-bit re-imagining, on the other hand, might actually be fun.
