Baten Kaitos Remastered Heading to Switch

Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean and Baten Kaitos Origins will be back. During the February 2023 Nintendo Direct, Baten Kaitos Remastered appear. This will give more people a chance to assist Kalas and Sagi on their journeys again. It will appear in Summer 2023.

In the original game, the Alfard Empire is attempting to get the five End Magus to bring Malpercio to the world. Kalas and the player, who acts a spirit who guides him, get involved in saving the world while attempting to find who killed Kalas’ grandfather. To fight, people must collect Magnus cards and build decks for Kalas and his allies. In the prequel, Alfard Empire Spiriter Sagi is framed for murder. As he flees the scene, he works with the Guardian Spirit (the player) and allies to find out what’s going on in Alfard, uncover the truth, and save the day.

There are only two Baten Kaitos games total. The original Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean appeared on the GameCube in 2003 in Japan, with North American and European releases following. In 2006, Baten Kaitos Origins appeared on the GameCube worldwide. Xenoblade Chronicles developer Monolith Soft worked on both with
tri-Crescendo.

Baten Kaitos Remastered will head to the Switch in Summer 2023, and Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean is available for the GameCube.
