Azur Lane - RN Pola

Azur Lane Empyreal Tragicomedy Rerun Will Include RN Pola

Azur Lane‘s official Twitter account confirmed that the upcoming “Empyreal Tragicomedy” rerun will add RN Pola to the recruitable roster. She will be added to the limited construction pool as a Super Rare shipgirl along with Zara, Littorio, and HMS Formidable. They will be at the same rarity level.

The Japanese Azur Lane account described Pola as a core fleet member of the Italy-inspired Sardegna Empire, together with Zara. Besides an outstanding proportion, she also has two personality sides; one where she acts with a cool-headed manner and another where she looks cheeky and captivating. In the initial run of “Empyreal Tragicomedy,” Pola only appeared as a story NPC, just like Sardegna Empire’s supreme commander Vittorio Veneto.

Historically, Pola was the third of the Zara-class heavy cruisers. She had a bigger forward superstructure than her sisters, as she was intended to host an admiral’s staff and become the flagship of Italy’s 2nd Squadron at the start of World War II. Pola was the last ship to be sunk at the Battle of Cape Matapan, in which Zara also participated and was sunk earlier while protecting her. She was ultimately taken down by torpedoes from the British destroyer HMS Nubian.

The popular mobile game is currently featuring collaboration content from Pizza Hut. Although the English client removed any mentions of the restaurant brand, it will also add USS Hornet‘s new pizza-themed skin “in the near future.”

Azur Lane is immediately available on Android and iOS mobile devices. The Chinese, Japanese, and English clients will all hold a rerun of “Empyreal Tragicomedy” simultaneously on January 21, 2021.
