God Mode is developed by a company named Old School Games. The story starts out with you, a descendent of an ancient god, being dead. How’d that happen? This particular god’s bloodline was banished from Mt. Olympus by Hades and turned into mortals. However, the purgatory you’re now in offers you a chance at eternal life, provided you can survive the Maze of Hades.

God Mode has dozens of enemies on screen at once. Defeating them yields gold and experience. You’ll be able to upgrade your weapons throughout the game, as well as the look and equipment of your characters. As you fight, a Rage Meter will build up and allow you to use special abilities.

In order to keep things fresh, Oldschool Games made it so each round of enemies in God Mode will have a different modifier effect. In addition to fighting enemies, the game also has a PvP section at the end of each match. You can read more about the game on its official website.

God Mode will be released sometime in early 2013 for Steam, Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.
