The interview that 4Gamer conducted was with a large number of video game developers, asking them to look back on the year and give an idea of their aspirations for the next. In Ishida’s case, he stated that he is working on an unannounced title.

Though he does not know when they will be able to announce it, he and the director are working hard to complete it. So he hopes that people will look forward to when they can reveal it to the world. Ishida is the director for Soul Hackers 2, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. He also worked as a designer for the Kuzunoha Raidou series and Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne.

In the same interview, he stated that he was taken aback at the high quality of Risk of Rain 2. Though the game did not come out in 2023, this is the one that he played the most, and he found it very hard to put down. Blue Eye Samurai is the piece of media from 2023 that left the greatest impression on him. In particular, he cites how fantastical the background designs looked and he could tell how much research went into them.

Soul Hackers 2 is available on PS4, PS5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. More information on the unannounced Atlus game will appear in the future.
