Last week, Atlus conducted their annual consumer survey in Japan, where they gauge the playing habits of fans in their domestic market, as well as their interest in various platforms and upcoming games.

Atlus has been conducting this survey each year since 2015, but this year the company included a question specifically pertaining to ports of their games to the Nintendo Switch. The survey asked whether fans would like to see ports of various games from the Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, Etrian Odyssey, and Vanillaware brands to the device.

Now, a few days later, the company has announced via Twitter that this year’s survey hit a record high in the number of participants, far exceeding expectations. As a result, the survey has concluded two days early and Atlus thanks users for their valuable opinions.

It’s possible that the survey did better this year because of the Switch-specific question or even because Atlus games have grown more popular in general. It also remains to be seen if any of the requests from the survey will pan out over the next year or two.
