During Netmarble’s The King of Fighters All Star announcement event, it was announced that Athena Asamiya, the face of the Psycho Soldiers Team and KOF’s in-universe idol, will be debuting as a Virtual Youtuber.
Usually virtual Youtubers use some sort of voice-changing software, but in Athena’s case, she’ll be voiced by Haruna Ikezawa in her Youtube videos, who has voiced Athena all the way since after The King of Fighters ‘98.
The King of Fighters All Star launches this summer in Japan for iOS and Android. Those of you interested can sign up at the official website to participate in its pre-registration campaign. You can also check out our previous report for quite a few character trailers for the game.
