Okay, Atelier Sophie: Alchemist of the Mysterious Book’s Plachta wasn’t always a book, but she has no recollection of her past, so Sophie will have to do her best to help her remember.
Sophie seems to be confused, but not too surprised to see a floating and talking book. It doesn’t take her long to figure out that Plachta has lost her memories. Her new friend, the book, promises that she will never leave her side.
This is when Sophie comes up with the “Let’s Make Plachta Into A Human Plan.” While Plactha isn’t too crazy about the plan name, they proceed, and give Plachta the body of a doll. She says that it’s been 500 years since she had a human-like form, and she can’t help by giggle in happiness when looking at her own clothes.
She is then shown using some pretty neat explosive abilities, including one that has her launch a bunch of rockets towards the enemy. She can also attack using a blade and her two floating arms.
We then see Plachta asking Sophie things like what kind of power do you think alchemy is, and she talks about making her dreams come true. It looks like she’ll always be around for Sophie, as a helpful and encouraging partner.
Atelier Sophie: Alchemist of the Mysterious Book will release in Japan on November 19, 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.
