Atelier Sophie Gets Improved 2D Assets On PC

People playing Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book on PCs may have noticed it did not always look its best. The 2D assets, say in menus or UIs, might be lacking. However, Version 1.0.0.19 has just been released and fixes quite a few things.

The description of the 158.9MB update is very brief. It says, “upgraded the resolution of 2D assets.” In practice, it makes menus and any segments where you primarily see 2D images much clearer and more defined. In a Steam forum thread, people have been sharing before and after images to note the difference.

One user, named Rippy, has shared before and after images of the Time Control Hourglass that do a good job of showing the difference.

Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book first appeared on the PC on February 7, 2017. It is also available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita worldwide and on the PlayStation 3 in Japan.
