Koei Tecmo shared a prologue movie for Atelier Ryza 2 to give us a quick recap of the events that transpired in the first game.

Towards the end of the trailer, we get to see a bit of what’s to come in Ryza’s next adventure. In the sequel, Ryza and friends will also run into Empel and Lila, who helped them out in the first game. One of the biggest unknown parts about the story in Atelier Ryza 2 is just what happened to Lent between the two games? They say that he hasn’t been the same since returning from a journey to train.

Atelier Ryza 2 will release for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in Japan on December 3, 2020. The game will release in North America for the PS5, PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam on January 26, 2021. Europe will get the game on January 29, 2021.
