Atelier Ryza 2 Is Coming to PlayStation 5 With Free PS4 to PS5 Upgrade Option

Koei Tecmo announced during its TGS 2020 Online live stream that Atelier Ryza 2 will get a PS5 version this December in Japan. Moreover, those who own the PS4 version will also get to upgrade for free.

The PlayStation 5 version of Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy will release on the same date as the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions in Japan. The price is 8,580 yen for retail and digital.

According to the small print, those who purchase the physical version of Atelier Ryza 2 on PS4 can upgrade to the PS5 version at no additional cost. Again, those who purchase the PS4 version on the PlayStation Store will also get to download the PS5 version at no extra cost.

Furthermore, those who are considering the PS5 version but already pre-ordered the PS4 version will get to cancel the order. However, it’s worth noting that the physical PS5 version will only be available in a standard edition. That means it will not come with the option for a Premium Box or Special Collection Box edition.

Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy will release in Japan for the PS5, PS4 and Switch on December 3, 2020. The game will release for PC via Steam in January 2021. Gust is aiming for a simultaneous worldwide release.
