In Arcade Beat ‘Em Up Wotan, Who You Choose To Fight Matters

Wotan is an arcade-style beat ‘em up where players fight their way across the streets, alleys, and bars of a Norse-myth inspired alternate vision of the USA, but sometimes, it’s the face players choose not to punch that matters.

Humanoid animals fill the world of Wotan, and a lot of them mean to do main character Wotan in. When in combat, Wotan can use an array of kicks and punches to beat these creatures back. He can also gain new moves and increase his stats over the game, as well as upgrade his gear and bike, to make fighting bull-men and lizard thugs easier.

Wotan can gain more useful moves, or avoid combat altogether, with the right friendships, though. Players can make choices throughout the game, whether in conversation or when given an option to spare an opponent, that will affect the storyline and abilities they receive. Many factions have enemies, so befriending one side may cause more trouble with the other.

Wotan is seeking Kickstarter funding and Greenlight votes, and also has a demo available for players who want to beat up on humanoid animals.
