Aquaplus Teaser Website Announces Utawarerumono 20th Anniversary Livestream

Utawarerumono Anniversary Livestream

Aquaplus will host a special Utawarerumono 20th anniversary livestream, featuring almost a dozen voice actors from the series’ anime adaptations and video games. The anniversary livestream will air via YouTube on November 24, 2021, starting at 7 PM Japan Time (5 AM ET / 11 AM CEST). An archive of the stream will be available at a later date.

This news came through Aquaplus’ countdown teaser website, which opened up over a week ago. As the countdown timer ended, users were sent to an official website announcing the 20th-anniversary live stream. The Utawarerumono series celebrates its 20th anniversary on April 26, 2022. Aquaplus will also hold a hashtag campaign on Twitter during the broadcast. It will award six people with autographs from the cast.

Kentaro Tone, who voiced Ukon, Oshtor, and Haku, will host the livestream alongside Yuya Uchida, who voiced Mikazuchi in the Utawarerumono: The False Faces anime adaptation. Some of the cast members from other entries will also appear, including Rikiya Koyama who voiced Hakuoro in the original Utawarerumono OVA in 2009, along with Ryoka Yuzuki who voiced Eruruu.

Below is a list of the voice actors that will appear and their respective characters:

  • Kentaro Tone – Ukon, Oshtor, and Haku
  • Ryoka Yuzuki – Eruruu
  • Yuya Uchida – Mikazuchi
  • Daisuke Kirii – Oboro
  • Risa Taneda – Kuon
  • Mai Nakahara – Yuzuha
  • Ayane Sakura – Uruuru and Saraana
  • Tsuyoshi Koyama – Kurou
  • Yuko Gibu – Fumirul
  • Yu Ayase – Suzuri from Utawarerumono: Lost Flag
  • Suara – Japanese singer who wrote the Utawarerumono opening theme

The teaser website also featured the words “2nd Anniversary” prior to the countdown timer ending. While unconfirmed, this may relate to Utawarerumono: Lost Flag which is currently in its second year after releasing in 2019.

The Utawarerumono special 20th anniversary livestream will be held via YouTube on November 24, 2021, starting at 7 PM Japan Time (5 AM ET / 11 AM CEST).
