Anime VR Experiences Coming from Bandai Namco Pictures

Bandai Namco will be getting involved with efforts to create more VR experiences. To be more specific, Bandai Namco Pictures will be involved in anime VR experiences. HTC announced people will get to see things based on the company’s shows when using an HTC Vive headset. However, there’s no launch date yet for when they will appear via Viveport.

There were some hints about what the Bandai Namco Pictures anime VR experiences could entail. When HTC announced the company’s involvement, it noted that announcements will come up during 2021. It also said these could be “virtual social interactions” or special animated clips.

Bandai Namco Pictures has a number of new shows and movies coming in 2021 and 2022. For example, Gintama: The Final movie and a new Aikatsu Planet show came out this year. The second season of Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun aired. And in 2022, there will be Tiger & Bunny season 2. The anime VR experiences announcement also mentioned the Bandai Namco series Sgt. Frog.

Bandai Namco Pictures will work on and eventually announce its anime VR experiences for the HTC Vive. These will appear on Viveport.
