Animal Crossing November Update Adds Brewster Cooking

Animal Crossing November Update Adds Brewster, Cooking

Today’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons Direct detailed tons of new additions coming to the title next month. During the packed 20-minute stream, a major free Animal Crossing update was announced for November 5, 2021. Two major additions include the previously hinted return of Brewster and The Roost to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as well as the addition of cooking on player islands.

Located inside the museum, players will be able to visit The Roost for a relaxing cup of coffee. Island residents, including Isabelle and other staff members, can also appear in the cafe at random intervals, and players will be able to use the payphone in the cafe to invite amiibo villagers for a cup of joe. It was noted that some villagers may bring company with them, with the three Mabel sisters making an appearance. Multiple players will be able to visit at the same time. While in Animal Crossing: New Leaf players were able to work at the cafe with Brewster, this wasn’t shown during the Direct stream.

Cooking and farming will also be added with the free Animal Crossing update. Cooking will be added to DIY recipes and players will be able to plant a variety of ingredients such as tomatoes, wheat, sugarcane, potatoes, carrots, and more to use in their recipes. Consuming these dishes can give players energy, or they can simply be used as decoration.

New Horizons is currently available for the Nintendo Switch. The last major free Animal Crossing update will be coming to the game on November 5, 2021.
