Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Splatoon Crossover Teased

A new Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is being teased on Twitter, and this time it looks like a crossover is about to begin. An image of a gyroid covered in paint matching Splatoon 2’s signature colors was shared. In the text, Isabelle says, “We’re supposed to be getting a sneak peek at what’s to come…but all I see are those bright colours.”

Ahead of every Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp event, a picture of a gyroid obscuring a screenshot showing new items is shared. This time, none of the new items are shown, but a Splatoon 2 event is clearly being teased.

As a reminder, Splatoon furniture and villagers are already present in an Animal Crossing installment. Animal Crossing: New Leaf has had such things since the Welcome amiibo update. If you scan in the Callie, Marie, Inkling Boy, Inkling Girl, or Inkling amiibo, then Cece, Viche, or Inkwell will appear at your campground. You can then buy their Splatoon-themed clothing and furniture from their RVs for 3 MEOW Tickets each, adding things like bumpers, shirts, spawn points, Splattershots, Super Sea Snails, towers, and wigs. You could even invite Cece, Viche, or Inkwell to move into your town.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is now available for Android and Apple iOS devices. A launch date for its Splatoon event has yet to be announced.
