One again, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Ichiban Kuji lottery has been delayed. Bandai Spirits has made this decision due to the situation surrounding COVID-19. This special lottery was originally scheduled for a Spring 2020 date and was later re-scheduled to begin on May 16 2020, but has since faced numerous setbacks. The new date for the lottery is August 15, 2020, as announced via Bandai Spirits’ official website. [Thanks, GAME Watch!]
The Animal Crossing: New Horizons Ichiban Kuji lottery features special New Horizons themed items. These include a rug, a cooler bag, clear water bottle, stackable mug, clear slider pouch, printed towel, a Timmy and Tommy themed tissue case, and a mini-table. Pictures of these exclusive items have yet to be released.
In order to participate in this lottery fans will need to go to Seven-Eleven convenience stores, Ito Yokado supermarkets, and Nintendo Tokyo, to buy special lottery tickets. As one can easily assume, this is a Japan exclusive event. Tickets will cost ¥650 (or roughly $6) per draw.
Bandai Spirits once against extends their apologies regarding the delays, and will continue to update fans through the Ichiban Kuji Club and the official Ichiban Kuji Twitter account.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is immediately available on Nintendo Switch.
