Animal Crossing amiibo Cards and Switch Will Return to Stores

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Two very in-demand Animal Crossing physical items will be showing up in stores again. First, the Animal Crossing Switch system will show up in stores again. The Animal Crossing amiibo cards will also be returning. In each case, Nintendo noted that people will have to check stores to see when they will have them, but GameStop is already apparently selling the system.

With the Animal Crossing Switch, people will get a second chance at the system released back on March 13, 2020. It has custom seafoam green and light blue Joy-Cons, a Nintendo Switch with Animal Crossing designs on the back, and a dock that has Tom Nook, Timmy, and Tommy on an island. It’s $299.99, though Wario64 pointed out GameStop is selling it with an Animal Crossing: New Horizons download code for $359.99.

As for the Animal Crossing amiibo cards, the four series originally released will all return to stores. Each pack will be $5.99 and include six random NFC cards. These can then be used in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to invite the villager on the card to your campground and convince them to move to your island. Nintendo’s official site offers a look at all 400 cards in the collection, so you can determine which series your favorite characters are in. Japan got its restock back in June 2020.
