Two games on this week’s DSiWare downloads caught our attention while skimming over the release list: Animal Boxing and Glory Days – Tactical Defense. The former costs 800 DSi points ($8) while the latter costs 200 points ($2).
Animal Boxing has a unique twist in that it requires you to turn the DSi upside down so the touchscreen is on the top.
You then use the stylus for boxing controls like jabs, hooks and uppercuts. Developer, Gammick Entertainment, say that there are more than 50 animal fighters in the game, and that you can even create your own. Animal Boxing lets you battle a friend over local wireless play.
Meanwhile, Glory Days – Tactical Defense is a 3D realtime strategy defense-focused game where you can control your units like any other RTS to keep enemy artillery from breaking through your defenses. The developer, oDenis Studio, mention field-management tactics like moving to higher ground for an advantage and repairing units to keep them alive as examples of strategies you can employ.
