Perhaps, the biggest feature in Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 is multiplayer battles. You can fight a friend nearby or afar while giving slimes, pirates called Jack, and dragons commands.
Before you can get to this —
— you need to set up a battle. One player Nintendo DS acts as a host (Joker team, has a slime on top) and another searches for a challenger (Ryuta Team, has a lion on top).
One a match is made, the host can choose a set of rules: standard, Square Enix, or custom. The custom rules allow you to tweak the number of rounds, monster tagging and so forth.
Now, you’re ready to give orders to your monsters and fight.
Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 also has Nintendo Wi-Fi support. You can challenge a friend, if you exchange friend codes, or find a random stranger to battle based on location and strength.
