A PC mod to allow you to play Elden Ring in VR is on its way, courtesy of Luke Ross. Ross previously released VR mods for Red Dead Redemption 2, as well as Cyberpunk 2077. He has released a video on his YouTube channel showing off what the mod will look like when it is finished. [Thanks, PC Gamer!]

This mod will change the perspective. Once applied, someone will be able to see through the eyes of a Tarnished. The original third-person point of view will appear too. However, Ross told PC Gamer that isn’t recommended in VR, due to the distance between a player’s point of view and their avatar.

As much of Elden Ring’s combat relies on dodging and rolling, the VR will not flip every single time. According to Ross, the camera will follow the character’s head, but will remain oriented according to your head in real life. This means that the world will not spin around you every time you perform the action in-game.

The Elden Ring VR mod is in development. Ross expects to release a build of it by the end of April 2022. However, it will not be fully finished at that point. Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC. The game has sold over 12 million units worldwide as of March 2022.
