Earlier this week, a Kickstarter project to crowdfund an official ‘Complete Score’ for the SNES title ActRaiser was launched. [Thanks, Gosokkyu!]
Yusuke Ichihara, the conductor of the New Japan BGM Philharmonic Orchestra that performed several soundtracks composed by Yuzo Koshiro late last year is behind the project, and the score will be personally supervised by Koshiro himself. Nijuhachi Haneda, who created the version of the soundtrack played for the orchestra last year, will be in charge of arrangement.
The project aims to amass 1,500,000 yen in funding in order to create the score, which will be sold as a PDF afterwards and as a hard copy for backers who pledge 5,000 yen or more. There are three stretch goals: for the production of a condensed score, solo piano arrangements, and talk events. If this project is successful, Ichihara hopes to continue releasing scores for Koshiro’s other works and maybe even other game VGMs.
