Which characters can you romanceable in Starfield?

There are only four romanceable characters in Starfield, and each of them is a member of Constellation. The first romanceable Companion you meet is Sarah Morgan after completing the opening tutorial mission, “One Small Step.” As you continue the Constellation storyline, though, you will continue to meet additional members whom you can eventually enter a romantic relationship with.

Below is a list of every Companion you can romance in Starfield:

How to romance Starfield Companions

To romance a Companion in Starfield, you need to max out their affection meter and complete their personal side quests. Each of the four romanceable characters has a unique questline tied to their own backstory. To unlock these side stories, make the person you want to romance your active Companion and take them on other quests. The main way to increase affection with a companion in Starfield is through dialogue choices and the decisions you make during missions.

Each Companion will react differently to your choices as well, so your decisions will need to be informed by their specific personality. Sarah Morgan, for example, will want you to side with the law and help those in trouble. Whereas Andreja will want you to be more firm and values you being independent.

After you spend enough time with a Companion, new dialogue options will open up. Once you’ve talked to them enough, your Companion will eventually approach you to trigger their personal side quest. Upon finishing this quest line, you will automatically get a mission where you can propose and get married to the Constellation member that you have been pursuing.

A helpful tip is to always save before any major mission choices. And if you want to make a decision your Companion will absolutely hate, send them back to the ship so that you don’t get any negative points with them. If you do make a mistake, don’t stress too much! Starfield is pretty forgiving and gives you many chances to make your Companion fall in love with you.

Starfield is available now on the Xbox Series X and PC.
