Today, Capcom announced that every Monster Hunter World player, from new players to veterans, will be receiving the Guardian set of armor on September 5, 2019, in prep for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

The Guardian series of armor includes:

  • Guardian Helm
  • Guardian Suit
  • Guardian Braces
  • Guardian Coil
  • Guardian Boots

The armor has been a reoccurring set of armor throughout the series, and in Monster Hunter World and Iceborne it will provide the Recovery Up Lv 3, Marathon Runner Lv 3, Health Boost Lv 3, and Divine Blessing Lv 3. It’s intended to help those out just starting Monster Hunter World from the beginning, or those who intend to continue through the main story to reach the Iceborne story content.

To receive the armor, players will have to speak to Room Service and receive it there. Alternatively, you are able to choose the armor from the very beginning during Character Creation if you’re just starting out.

Apart from the Guardian set, Hunters are also receiving a free item pack that includes Iron Ore x7, Earth Crystal x2, Machalite Ore x7, Dragonite Ore x2, Monster Bone M x2, and Silver Egg x1.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne releases for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6, 2019, and PC on January 2020. Check our previous report for a look at the the Old Everwyrm and Developer Diary #2.
