Where to find all Junon Fiend Intel locations in FF7 Rebirth

Unlike the Grasslands Fiend Intel in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Junon only has four of the combat research in its area. However, you will also need to progress the main story a bit before you can access all of them. While you don’t have to complete all objectives in the FF7 Rebirth Fiend Intel, you will get better rewards if you manage it.

Below, we will break down where each Junon Fiend Intel location is on the map and which creatures you will be fighting when you arrive at each quest marker. We will also give you the weaknesses of each enemy so you have an easier time clearing those objectives.

Junon Fiend Intel 1: Cacophonic Corvid

For Junon Fiend Intel 1, you will be facing off against the Fonadu. The flying creatures are bit of a nuisance, due to their ranged-attacks. However, use Red XIII to Pressure the creature. Fonadu are also weak to Wind Materia attacks, so spam Aero or Aerora to stagger it.

  • Pressure an enemy.
    • Red XIII basic attacks.
  • Stagger an enemy.
    • Fonadu Weakness: Wind Materia
  • Defeat the enemy within the time limit.

Junon Fiend Intel 2: Zemze Breaks

In Junon Fiend Intel 2, you will need to take out a group of Whymzelett. These flying creatures are annoying because they can heal. Making matters worse, you will actually fail an objective if they fly in the air while using the “Soothing Breeze” spell.

To counter this, you will want to switch to Red XIII and aggressively attack them to Stagger them quickly. Whymzelett is also weak to Ice Materia, so spam Blizzard or Blizzara spells to fill up its stagger meter.

  • Stagger an enemy.
    • Whymzelett Weakness: Ice Materia
  • Prevent enemies from taking flight when using Soothing Breeze.
    • Aggressively use Red XIII basic attacks to trigger Pressure. Then stagger them as fast as possible.
  • Defeat the enemy within the time limit.

Junon Fiend Intel 3: Scorched Earth

Before you can access Junon Fien Intel 3, you will actually need to obtain a Chocobo Mount in the region. That is because the Fiend battle is actually located north on the map on top of a mountain. The only way to get to it is to use a Chocobo that can walk up walls to reach it.

To complete Junon Fiend Intel 3, were are going to be battling a rare Ignilisk breed called Lavalisk. As you can guess, Lavalisk is weak to Ice Materia, so spam Blizzard and Blizzara to stagger it. To complete the Pressure objective, continue using Red XIII, as spamming his basic attack will fill this meter up quickly.

  • Pressure an enemy.
    • Red XIII basic attacks
  • Stagger an enemy.
    • Lavalisk Weakness: Ice Materia
  • Defeat the enemy within the time limit.

Junon Fiend Intel 4: Weather the Storm

Before you can find Junon Fiend Intel 4, you need to progress the main story. Specifically, you need to sleep at the Under Junon Inn. After this, speak to Rhonda who will give you the quest “When Words Won’t Do”, which gives you access to the “Crow’s Nest”. Junon Fiend Intel 4 can be found in the mountains just past the Crow’s Nest village.

Finally, for Junon Fiend Intel 4, you will be taking on Stormwing. Just like Fonadu, the creature will be a bit tough to attack due to it flying in the air. However, switch to Red XIII and spam your basic attack to get its Pressure meter up. Because Stormgwing is weak to Wind, swap to a character with Wind Materia equipped and spam its elemental spells to stagger it.

  • Pressure an enemy.
    • Red XIII Basic Attack
  • Stagger an enemy.
    • Stormwing Weakness: Wind Materia
  • Defeat the enemy within the time limit.

Once you’ve completed the 4 Junon Fiend Intel, you will unlock a special boss battle on the map that lets you obtain the FF7 Rebirth Mindflayer Crown item needed to craft rare accessories in the Item Transmuter.
