Final Fantasy XIV features dozens of jobs for players to unlock and level up, including the Miner class. Here is how to unlock the Miner job in FFXIV and all of the mining quest locations you need to know about.
How to unlock Miner in FFXIV
First and foremost, you need to unlock the Miner job class in FFXIV before you can do anything else. To do this, you need to first reach level 10 in your starting Disciple of War or Magic job. After this, you must complete the level 10 job quest at your respective guild. From there, you can head to Ul’dah (you may need to progress the story if you haven’t reached here yet) and to the Miner’s Guild at around X:11.3, Y:14.3 on the map.
As long as you meet the requirements to unlock other jobs, you can speak with the guild receptionist, Linette, near the entrance to unlock the Miner job. Equip the starter gear you get for free, and you’ll now be able to play as a Miner.
All Mining Quests locations
There are around 22 job quests in total for the Miner at this time. These quests span from the very first level of your Miner all the way to level 70 at the very end of the Stormblood expansion. Here are all of the mining quests in FFXIV, what level you need to be to do it, and where you can start it:
